I just LOVE the Wii because Im really not the “gamer” type. I love how simplistic it is and fun! Its great for just one player or a whole room of friends or family! I highly recommend to someone who isnt really into all those crazy kind of war/zombie/fighting kind of games!

The Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge arrived very quickly, assembled easily and performed fantastically! I used it to spot clean area rugs that were thoroughly “cleaned” (I use that term loosely — lots of time and effort, really poor results) only weeks before with one of the rental machines. The spot cleaning turned into whole-rug cleaning once I realized the amount of soil left behind by the rental machine. The SteamVac cleans great and does an outstanding job of both pulling soil from the carpets and removing excess water – the rugs were left only slightly damp after cleaning. This is a HUGE plus!
The SteamVac is easy to use, fills and empties easily, and operates miserly with the water, so large areas of deep cleaning can be done between refills.
I highly recommend this machine.

I absolutly love this product. It fit my new iPhone 3g perfectly. The case is damn near indestructable. I have dropped it from my truck multiple times, on the floor, it has been thrown against the wall and the case hasn’t broken yet. Only problem I had was it was that I forgot to clean the screen;well, before putting the case on which caused huge air bubbles. But if you clean it well and make sure it doesn’t have air bubbles you will be fine.

I bought this pedometer and was immediately impressed with the accuracy. However, there are two problems that I find aggravating. First, the clip is not the right size, it should allow the pedometer to be tightly attached, not loosely attached at the top of the garment. Second, the pedometer resets to zero at least once a day. After a reset, the only way to get the total steps for that day is to go to the memory of the “previous” day. Of course, it is not the previous day, it is only the number of steps that were recorded before the pedometer reset itself.

Internet Wireless GDI radio headache

This internet radio is everything I expected and more. I spent a lot of time researching the radios and this appeared to be the best buy for the money. After owning an internet radio I think it’s important to get one with Pandora (such as this one). This also has 365 and Sirius.

I would like Grace to modify their software so I can search by city. The current search is only for country and then you have to know the call letters. I’m sure they will gladly make this change to the software. The software is updateable.

Like (probably) most folks who read this book, it was jammed down my throat as Required! Reading! in my Honors English class in High School (I guess they saved it for the Honors class because we were all Ivy-bound brilliants who wouldn’t be seduced into the gutter by all the naughty language and behavior depicted in the book).

Why?

Since when was rebellion for its own sake considered radical in the literary sense?

Reading this book was like getting stuck on the last commuter bus home next to a drunken, rambling teenager.

Its style may have been “radical” for its time, but it’s neither interesting nor particularly well-written. I have no idea why this is considered a “classic.”

To me, an example of a “classic” is something like Frank Herbert’s “Dune”–even though it was written back in the 60’s, before the lunar landing, it still remains an epic story in and of itself, even with the science fiction aspects removed. “Catcher” on the other hand is more of a period piece, and makes for boring reading, like most of the Bronte sisters’ works which we were also required to slog through (oooh, Edwardian social mores, and written by a WOMAN! How RADICAL and RELEVANT!! not….).

In short, this book for me sums up everything that’s wrong with the way that English-language literature is taught in school. No, we shouldn’t let kids read the funnies and the White Pages and call it literacy, but there has been enough new stuff in the past 40 years to push out some of the no-longer relevant stuff.

These books seem to have transcended the high school demographic they were targeted for and I was curious what all of the hype was about when many of my friends and co-workers (most of them in their 30’s) became obsessed with the series. Literally, it was all they could talk about. After having muddled through the first book less than enthusiastically, I have to ask you people, what is so great about this series?!! I was bearly able to finish the first book because I couldn’t stomach another 35-page description of why Bella is so accident-prone, or how for the 75th time she hoped she would see Edward in the cafeteria and he didn’t show up. The whole book seemed to be a conversation between the two of them about why they shouldn’t be together, but what the heck let’s give it a try anyway. It was pretty much like reading a 13 year old’s 400 page diary. I am not a literary snob in any way- as long as it’s a great story, I’ll read it. But this book was seriously disappointing- don’t waste your time.
